Im Jahre 2006 löst Nintendo den Game Boy Advance durch eine echte Innovation ab: Der Nintendo Dual Screen ist eine aufklappbare Handheld Konsole mit zwei Bildschirmen. Das besondere daran: Beim unteren der beiden Bildschirme handelt es sich um einen Touchscreen, der mit dem Finger oder einem kleinen Plastikstift bedient werden kann. Die meisten (nicht alle) der Spiele basieren auf dieser Steuerung oder beziehen sie zumindest für kurze Passagen ein. Nintendo setzt im Vergleich zu Sony erneut auf innovatives Gameplay statt auf pure Power – mit Erfolg.
